Default A&A 09 C6 questions

Currently looking into a blower setup and I have a few questions. I recently received an emissions recall letter in the mail, basically saying I should go to the GM dealer and get 2 new cats welded into my exhaust. I believe it is not mandatory as of now. The recall actually happen in April of 15 (before I owned the car). The previous owner never brought the car to have the work done. I did pass emissions in August of 15 though, so maybe I have nothing to worry about but since I got a letter this late it seems they are keeping track of everything. I am now trying to decide if I should just do the supercharger and keep the entire exhaust stock in case the state enforces the recall. I guess on the bright side I would save about $2,000 if I don't get the headers. What do you think, are the headers a must?

In short, which option would you chose?
option a- Blower + long tubes
option b- Blower only

That I know of the recall is not mandatory.. I used to work at a GM dealership. And I would do option a. The Supercharger would like the LT's if it's in your budget. And just tie into your existing exhaust.

Good to know. Am I looking at around $7500 for the kit/install/tune vs another couple grand for the headers pretty much? The prices look higher for the z51 for some reason..

z51 is mostly suspension brakes.. Hmm. 7500 sounds like a good price, prob around 6 for the charger, 8 hours of install and ..$800 for tune..

Looks like the headers are the way to go.

Maybe I should have just bought a Z06 lol. Guess the LS3 will probably handle the boost better
