4.8 lr4 boosted setup Hey guys and gals I'm new to this forum and have a few questions. I have an iron block 4.8 that I have put beehives and a ls9 cam into now I'm looking for a turbo for it. Any help would be appreciated. Also siemens deka injectors in a ls1 intake on the car what would you use to fuel it? Also no cam sensor used with efisource Micro squirt setup?

It is a stock bottom end with ls9 cam swap and ls2 front cover. It has 862 heads on it with gm head gaskets and are head bolts. I'd like to be in the 650 hp range. I was thinking of a walboro 400lph in tank fuel pump. Anything guys?

What car? Do you have a transmission? Your questions are pretty vague. This same setup has been done over and over. There is a lot of information on this site of people doing the exact same thing.

The tranny th350 I'm fitting into a volvo 240 wagon. Sorry for being vague with my questions. I bought the 24x modified micro squirt that denmah uses from efisource. Like I said before it's a pretty much stock 4.8 with a ls9 cam and beehive valve springs.also a ls1 intake with 80lb siemens deka injectors and 862 heads. I'm looking for a turbo that will give me about 14 - 20 psi if the motor will hold it. From everything that I am reading on the micro squirt it does not use a cam position sensor. Also I would like to know what fuel pump to use with this setup to make it so I don't starve the motor of fuel. Thank you
69mm Gt-45 turbo, Bosch 044 fuel pump, "assuming your running pump gas" I'd go with a methanol kit as well. I had a cammed 4.8 with this turbo and fuel pump and made 638 to the wheels On 20lbs of boost. As long as your motor is in good shape and the tune is good it will last at that power level for a long time. Mine did.

Looks like you have the essentials.
The Micro will not read the cam sensor so the LS2 style front cover is doing you no good with the LS9 cam. You only need a crank sensor. I would also recommend the meth kit. The $200 GT45's have proven to work pretty well on these types of combos. If you want to spend a little more a Borg Warner S400 (72mm-76mm) from Forced Inductions would get it done. A good converter will also be key to making it all work well.

I was thinking a 2800 stall would work. This car is going to be on road and possibly on the track 1 or 2 times a year. I have a holset h1c I was going to try but I'm afraid it won't be up to the task. And yes I will be running 93 octane. With the th350 I was thinking a tci manual valve body as well. After I get it semi tuned and running I was going to take it to a local dyno and get it dyno tuned.

I wouldn't get a converter until you figure out which turbo you want. That converter will play a big role in spool. I would definitely recommend calling one of the big converter guys to get something spec'd.

The on3 76mm works very well with a 4.8. The On3 has a small turbine that has trouble staying efficient on anything bigger than a 5.3, but on a 4.8 you can push the compressor higher into its efficiency range before the turbine becomes an issue. It's physically smaller than a GT45 but spools faster.

Don't mean to hijack OP, just thought it'd be better to post in here instead of me making another thread about the same exact thing lol.
From my experience the only way to make power with a cam only 4.8 is to rev it. I was spinning mine to 7500rpm. When I went from the 68/77 gt45 to the 78/68 tc-78 I lost almost 10mph in the 1/4 mile. The small turbine dint like the high rev's. I would think that a 78/75 would be awesome on a specd cam and converter 4.8

I don't mind revving the 4.8 to the moon neither. Just hoping the 78/75 will outperform the 76/65. From the data I've seen so far on the subject, they're about the same in most cases, but some people are getting them to crack 700whp.
I'm just worried since there isn't too much documentation on the on3 7875 and what data there is, it doesnt outperform the 7665 by much, if at all.
But he recommended it and I know he's a smart guy, that's why I'm a little confused lol. Not rejecting nor denying his recommendation as I most likely will end up doing that combo he suggested. Just want more info on it first.
Also, what do you guys think of running the PAC1219 springs (.625" lift) for a junkyard 4.8 build? John said he wouldn't run them. Kinda wondering why since everyone and their mother uses PAC springs for these JY boosted builds.
