I love that! Most guys would be pissed to loose to a Mordor!

The chassis looked rock solid once it got rolling. I assume it handles well on the big end. The tubular K-member usually gives you lots of caster=stability by moving the lower arms forward a bit. And I still can't get over how you guys get away with these passes with no rollbar. We get kicked out after one pass almost everywhere around here.

I'll get the door bar weights. They sure don't look worth it, unless you are doing the manual window swap. But every pound counts!

My first pass I was all strapped in putting my helmet on when I looked over to see no one else had theirs on. One guy had his wife with him in the passenger seat with both windows down.

408gt do you feel time vs boost is better than say boost vs speed (that's what I run)? I guess if you don't have a speed signal you have to run whatever you can otherwise. I'm using an antilock wheel sensor to pick up a speed signal on my Stang - nice to be able to log speed/converter slip.

I think for drag racing the boost by time works good. I have the Holley Dominator controlling the 4L80e so I get the speed signal from there. I use to have it on boost by gear, but the boost by time is simpler IMO. If I was roll racing I think the boost by mph would be a good choice. I'm still learning, so probably not the best person to get advice from LOL.

Well with the helmet on at least it'll make it easier to identify your remains, lol.

Were ET's announced during that race? If so, how far do you have to go to be at the top?

That track doesn't show ET's. It's primarily a grudge track.

There was a TT C6 Vette w/ a glide pitted beside me that went a high 6 @ 112 mph. If I would have had a real drag radial on there I could have added more power and been even with them.

The guy that put on the race lost his *** because of a lite car turnout. He said he wasn't going to do it again.

That sucks. Ask him to lighten the purse and stick it out till the count comes up.

A little update: I've been going through the car and trying to get as much weight out of it as I can and trying to move what I can to the rear. So far I've gotten quite a bit of weight out and moved the battery to the trunk. I also found a set of plastic headlights for the front that are 1 lb lighter than the glass ones.

I sold my rear Bogarts for a set of these Vision Wheels. I'll be using these as my drag wheels. I stole the idea from JoeNova

Keep in mind once you get down to the weigh you want, if you can move the ballast or moveable weight to the center of the vehicle, you could be quicker because of the effec of keeping the front end down.

My buddy has a set of scales for his dirt track car that we're going to use once I get everything put back together. I know this thing has to be nose heavy and these 17" steel wheels aint light lol

Alright I finally got the car back together and drove it down the road for the first time after the weight removal and shifting. It acted like it didn't want to spin the tires as bad with some weight off the front and over the rear! I pulled back in the shop and measured my fender heights. The left front was 1-3/4" higher, right front an 1", left rear went down 1/4", right rear went down 1-1/4". So after adjusting my coilovers I got it lower and leveled out. I replaced one of my headlight with a scoop insert in an attempt to get some airflow to the turbo and maybe decrease underhood temps. My new wheels came in yesterday and I got them mounted and threw them on for a test fit. I hope to get over to my buddies shop and get it on the scales to see where we're at and then a track visit with the drag radials.

Looks great! I really like the wheels and they have to be a big weight savings! Looking forward to more passes.

Thanks I think they're a nice wheel for the money.

That was a no-prep race on hard tires.

I made it out to the track last Friday night for some tnt passes on my 235/60 M/T's and got a better 1/8th mile time (6.75 @ 108.1 w/ 1.66 60'). The car ended up weighing 3375 w/ me in it (I'm 175) but I still ended up having to put a bunch of stuff in the trunk to help with traction. And speaking of traction... apparently my Spartan Locker wasn't up to the task and was letting lose right out of the hole. So I did what I didn't want to do, and put my other rear end in it. It has 33-spline axles, spool, girdle, 3.55's along with single adj lowers, dble adj uppers, and QA-1 adj shocks... I also tossed the 235's and fitted my 275/60's on the vision wheels. I'm still having a difficult time trying to build boost off the line. I'm not sure exactly what I need to do to get the turbo lit. Denmah sure does make it look easy! Fairmont 3.0 went a 6.2 @ 115 off the footbrake! I have the two step activate when I push the brake and have it turn on boost builder, but again I don't know what timing values or fuel rate I need to build positive pressure.
