Default microsquirt boost control settings

this is on my kids turbo L33 setup.
current 8.5 psi very steady boost control , been 7.30's 1/8th mile mid 90's mph. trying for 10-11 psi .
i got the launch control working good , now it is time for the boost controller. I have the DIY autotune solenoid .

I read the manual and lot's of stuff online and there appears to be several methods with lot's of people opposed and favoring the same method.

if someone is familiar critique these initial settings. raining today so i will test another day.

boost control enabled = on
solenoid frequency = 19.5 hz
control interval = 20
boost control pin = fidle
output polarity = inverted
algorithm = open loop
duty cycle table
less than 3000 rpm/80% tps = 100
greater than 3000 rpm/80% tps = 80

Each set up will be different. You just need to get out and play around with it to see what kind of change in DC of the boost solenoid equates to in psi. I usually start by making the boost duty table all the same numbers and bump it 5-10 % at a time a see what it gets me.

yes, totally dependent on how are you running it and connecting it, and what solenoid ports, wastegate ports etc

3 port mac?

running strait through and adding boost to the top? restricting the bottom?

Also, depending on how its set up 0% DC could mean the solenoid is open all the time or closed all the time. This can be changed with the "inverted" setting.

i got the solenoid mounted and set duty cycle at 80 in the upper rpm's and it made zero difference. i changed duty cycle to 50 and boost went from 8.5 to 13.5 and held steady on a 1rst - 2nd gear blast.

car pulled great but i want just a little less while the kid is still learning how to race.

i am going to change PID settings in the advance section to get a little more control

you must have the solenoid connected differently or something if lower duty is causing more boost

try 70 or invert, or change ports if you can
