Default Prepping for boost

Hey guys I'm going boost, already purchased the huron v2 hot and cold side ac kit. I am wonder if the timing chain, lifters and push rods need to be changed? I read the sticky and it says I should, but in the sticky the cam was changed so I am guessing that person changed it because he changed the cam. I don't plan to change the cam yet. I on a budget so I am trying to get it on and done before the summer. I have an 98 ls1 with 140k on it.

Pushrods and timing chain only become an issue with high pressure valve springs. If you don't run springs with tons of open pressure, then you won't have to worry about bending pushrods or breaking the chain.

i like to use stock pushrods in case there is a problem they bend like a fuse

So I have another question. Not Sure if I should make a new thread or not so I'll start here anyway. I'm looking at buying a turbo k member and have been looking bmr and pa racing. Was also interested in the mwc k member, but couldn't figure out if it would work with the huron v2 ac kit. Anyone know? Now the PA turbo k member has a lot of options when buying and the bmr doesn't. The only option I was worried about was the road race option? Does that mean it'll be better for road race conditions compared to the bmr k member? Also for the rack option I would just stick with standard since I have a stock rack right? Also the bmr doesn't have an option for motor mounts, I'd still have to buy some poly mounts rather then use the stockers correct?

I'm running the bmr turbo k member along with my v2t4 kit. everything fits just fine. it's a little Close in some spots but nothing rubs or anything like that. overall Im impressed with how well they work together. mine is a street car not a drag car. maybe someone else can chine in with some experience on the PA k member.

Ya I've read good things about the bmr k member, figured you couldn't go wrong with theres. I just want to know if the handling with the pa k member was better since they have a road race option. which motor mounts did you go with? also do you have a build thread? Would love to hear about your build. What turbo did you go with?
