Default Convoluted PTFE????

Thought i would post this here because i don't think anyone looks at the fueling section.

http://www.hotrod.com/how-to/engine/...ce-fuel-hoses/

Who is running this stuff? I seen somewhere on yellow bullet where the Orme Brothers posted that it flows more than smooth bore hose "due to the rifling effect that reduces turbulence"..... Brown and Miller says there isn't a flow issue until 70 gpm.....

Im having a hard time believing this. I don't see how the convoluted design is anything like riflings that are generally straight in comparison.

I would love to hear from guys running this stuff for fuel lines how its performing for them.

Thanks in advance.

Im running regular smooth ptfe lines, didn't even know they made the convoluted style. I know for me the smooth flows more than I'll ever need it to. only advantage I can see with I lt is the article says you can make tighter bends with it. but I try to do just the opposite, i went out of my way so that I wasn't making tight bends with any of my fuel system..

It would say they have no idea about rifling or flow !

To a degree swirl effect can speed up flow...but over a very short distance only.

A bullet isnt several feet long, nor are barrels of most guns. Which of course matters

But creating turbulence, in a small hose, several feet long when trying to achieve smooth flow, does seem odd.

The only real benefit if it was ever needed is a tighter bend radius, but how often is that so essential and the bend cannot be accommodated by other means ?

I agree. Seems like a marketing ploy to me. I know that my truck drives a lot smoother and faster down a paved road than a dirt road with pot holes and wash boards....SCIENCE BOOM!

Earls new line of PTFE looks awesome. Here is a video in the fitting section of Jegs:

I'm glad I waited on trying Fragolas 's Real Street PTFE.
