Default Solid motor mount on one side?

Figured id get more traction here.

Anyone run a solid motor mount on just one side? On my turbo car I keep melting the poly mount above my down pipe. I just got my solids but dont know if I want to use both if I dont have to. Have tried ES and Prothane poly mounts

i had a buddy way back tell me when he would build his street car small blocks he would use one solid mount and one stockish mount. so when the engine was under load it would twist into the solid one, but when you let off or idle it would have a stock one to cushion on. seemed to make since. done similar on 4cyl cars, seems to work well.

You should have no issues putting a solid on one side.

I'm sold mounted and my car is only driven on the street. Got a very noticeable cam and I don't notice a difference from before/after at all.

I went from stock to poly mounts and the car definitely moves with the cam but its not annoying or anything. The poly mounts are really stiff and the engine barely moves at all, I really don't think you'd see much of a difference between poly's and solids so I'd just go solids and call it a day.
