Do I have to run a hobbs switch?

Default Do I have to run a hobbs switch?

I'm running triple 465 walboro pumps, 1 all the time and 2 on the switch. Well the switch crapped out today at the track and almost cost me my motor so I'm thinking about ditching it. What are everyone's thoughts?

With 3 pumps I would definitely run a Hobbs switch. Don't want to heat the fuel up to much in casual driving.

Fuel will be getting pretty hot running 3 pumps all the time if not using the fuel.

I'm running e85 if that would make a difference

strange? I don't think I've ever heard of a Hobbs switch literally failing

I'm running e85 and was running out of fuel at 1200 wheel so I added a 3rd. I'm running the Holley dominator so I think I'll switch to the pcm control for the added fuel pumps. Just found out yesterday that it was an option

Ill be doing the same thing with my MS3 Gold box. Just let it run the pumps.
