LS7 427 supercharged - moving to a forged set up?
Hey Guys, I have a C6 z06 being built right now and my engine builder who works on high horsepower cars that I have known for 5+ years recommended I go with a forged set up for my 427 motor. We went with Wiseco pistons, rods and a new crank that would accommodate the new forged set up.
My car is also supercharged with the edelbrock root style blower which my builder recommended I take off the car although I opted to keep it on.
Anyone else on this forum go to a forged set up on their ls7?
Any input on if this set up is a good idea or not?

Google ls7 monte ss there is a guy with a na/ 700rwhp ls7. I guess ls7s don't like boost very much but love head/ cam set ups. I guess I should say they don't like a lot of boost.

How is going from stock components to forged ever going to be bad?
FORGED is GOOD, end of story. waste of a thread here...

LS7 is titanium rods.
I've heard the blocks are good to 1000whp. Plenty of people boost them.
This is kind of a weird thread though. Sounds like you have lots of cash to blow with minimal research. Keep us posted.

I don't have unlimited cash to blow I am just not a mechanic and want the car rebuilt the right way. A friend that owns a race shop recommended moving to a forged set up but I have heard that it is best to stay with the titanium rods in the ls7?
