Thoughts on turbo condition? (pic)
Thoughts on turbo condition? (pic) What are your thoughts on the condition of the turbine wheel (and turbo in general) on this 6062? To make a long story short, some exhaust housing bolts backed out and it rubbed on the inside of the housing some. I need to know if it's something that could cause issues etc or if it's totally fine. Thanks!
It is likely going to be out of balance, at the very least. If it even spools up like that it will eat bearings in short order, if it hasn't already. Is there play in the shaft?

Is it ball bearing?
If its BB, or SB and the play is within spec i'd run it all day. We used to internationally take martial off the turbines back in the day (clipping) on the small 4 banger stuff to get more turbine flow out of what we had.
