Nice work and lucky that you were able to find the old car! I attempted to find my old 72 Chevelle that I sold and had no luck. If you haven't thought about it, I'd definitely support those turbos. Also, I'm not sure if you will or not, but the gate placement isn't the best, you may run into boost control issues.
I will try it this way first to see how everything works and if I end up having issues I already have a secondary game plan for the wastegate dumps.

Took the car to the dyno last night for some final tuning to make sure everything is good to go before I make some passes. Car made a best of 722rwhp on 12.2 pounds of boost through a glide and 9" rear. I was very happy with those number for such a low boost level.
Huge thanks goes out to LOSLS2 for his help and knowledge and helping to make this voodoo they call EFI not seem quite so intimidating!

Finally made it to the track for the first time Sunday. Ran it on spring pressure around 12 pounds of boost.
First pass I was not sure of how the car was going to react so I came out on only 2 pounds of boost. Short shifted at 6K rpm and planned on letting out after the 1/8th but it felt so smooth I stayed in it. Went 6.6@111 in the 1/8th and 10.0@142 in the quarter with a 1.7 60ft.
I didn't want to get kicked out so I decided to launch a little harder second pass and let out at the 1/8th this time. Left on 7 pounds of boost. Car started to come up and broke the tires loose. Shifted at 7k this time and the car went 6.2@114 with a 1.5 60ft.
It was way too long in between runs so we called it a day and drove home. I was very happy with the cars maiden track outing. It drove all the way there and back 45 miles each way, made 2 passes with no issues and still had almost a half tank of E85 left when I got home! It actually ran faster than I expected on 12 pounds. Planning on going again this weekend and try to get my license runs in so I can legally run a 9 before the end of the season.

Do you have any pics of the Unisteer manual rack? I have not heard of that type. I know of others but they are really expensive. I am doing a 69 nova and that sounds cool!!! Love the car.

Here are some pictures I got of it installed. VERY easy to install. The angle of the steering shaft is kind of hard to get linked to the factory column, but I didn't buy that part of the kit. I built my own.

I will try and upload to YouTube, they are on photo bucket right now. I have to add my latest runs this past weekend anyway. Last 2 passes were full runs for the license. 9.6@145 followed by a 9.5@145! Actually touched 13psi on the last run.

I just realized I never uploaded my last pass from my license runs. Here is the one from my 9.5 pass.
I tried coming out at 10psi on the last pass but there is still a ton of suspension tuning to do.

Over the winter I decided to do some minor upgrades to the rear. I ordered up a new nodular center section with 40 spline spool, billet yoke, Daytona support and new 3.50 gears and a new pair of Strange 40 spline axles to replace my stock center section with a locker and 31 spline Moser axles. Still waiting on the axes to get here. I also ordered up a back brace and installed it this weekend along with some small changes to add a little strength.

I also ordered up a 21 volt KB BAP and a 75 amp relay to add to my 4303 pump for a little safety net when I turn the boost up this year. I still need to hook up my 2 step so I can use it to help work on my 60' times.

Installed the BAP. Ordered up a Hobbs switch to have it turn on under boost but I wanted to see how it reacted so I crossed the signal wires. Pump went from a low hum to screaming and base fuel pressure went from 44psi to 57psi at an idle! I am really excited to see how it works under power on keeping my fuel pressure closer to a 1:1 ratio.
