Are my cylinder heads hurting my power?
So im running stock 862 heads with BTR springs BTR stage 3 Cam on a Forged LQ4 with BW s475 t6 1.32 80# injectors pump gas with alky. Trans is a 4l80 rear ratio is 3.08. It made 650 on the dyno 16# of boost and has run a best of 10.20@136. My timing is 12* AFRs in low 11s. I have turned the boost up to as high as 20# but it doesn't go any faster. Are the heads holding me back? I was really hopping for a low 9 second truck with what I have into it. I just sent the turbo out to Jose to get the 80mm billet etr wheel in hopes that will get me to my goals. But 10.20s seems slow for what I have. how much power is to be gaining by swapping out the heads for 243 or 317 ect.

I think you should get the tune squared away with what you have now before you change the heads. The heads are not the problem right now. Personally, I would work with what you have, get the tune spot on, and save for some MMS 223cc Sportsman or TFS220 heads.

converter is a billet single disk from circle d. 3600 stall. Leaving in the 2 step 10-12 psi. Weight is 3800. My best 60 is 1.47. 1.55 pretty consistent. Not locking the converter yet. 6600 rpm threw the traps 138 ish.

At that weight with the 4l80e your gonna need over 800whp to get that thing deep in the 9s. When my camaro weighed 3700lbs I was running around 19psi making 875whp ish and running 9.10s.

6600 through traps with a 3.08 rear gear and only 138 mph
I have a 3.55 and 6600 through traps would be 155 for me.
For him to have less than 10% slip, he would have to be running a ~23" tire.
OP, what is your tire size? You're blowing through your converter. Even with a 28" tire, you're still well over 20% slip.

I'm surprised nobody picked up on this.

x2. There should be a link to Wallace Racing Calculators. They are very helpful for finding problems like this.
OP does the truck have a full cage? That thing is a little chunky. Looks good though!
