Running the Garrett GTX5518r, that's always been a bullet proof Turbo and should up his power with Great Heads and RPM since he is lacking in cubes... in for KickAss results!! What hot side A/R is he running at them cubes? I'm building with the same Turbo, yet going 400 cubes or more ;-)

He has his V 2.0 L33 in it as of last night up and running testing two step. The 4.8 must have been eating piston skirts as he was getting aluminum in the oil. He bailed before it got bad, made some more 7.9-8.0 passes in it though.

Update last night on the new cam profile. He says it builds boost a bit quicker and uses more fuel so it must be making more power. His original l33 cam was designed around a BW 96mm turbine. Now he has the GT55 with a 112mm turbine so I changed the valve events accordingly. We will see how this one does as early as Friday I am sure.

Love watching this thing progress! I assume larger cam for the larger turbine?

Maybe not larger but just moved valve events? Probably opens the exhaust valve later since pumping losses are not as concerning with little exhaust back pressure. Maybe a tighter LSA and more overlap as a result. Just thinking out loud
