Default Feed and return all in one..?

https://www.amazon.com/Filter-Cooler-Sandwich-Adapter-Thread/dp/B00NIGPF3U

description says for feed and return....how come noone uses this for their turbo setup? Sounds alot easier than making a hole in pan or timing cover for return line..?

i dont think that would work very well. the turbo bearing would see the same oil pressures the engine bearings see. likely blow past seals very quickly.

it needs no/very low pressure on the return side to keep from blowing past the seals

I wouldn't run it because it makes the filter hang low but looks like it might work well otherwise.

You can't use this for the return on the turbo, the feed/return they are referring to is for oil cooler setup. This adapter would have pressure on all ports.

Would it just be easier to use the oil pressure sender hole behind intake for a feed line instead of the oil filter adapter? Seems like the adapter would make the oil filter hang low like stated above ? ^^^^ being lowered 2inch already

you guys are making this more complicated than it really is.
all you need to do is tap the block plate and thats your feed.

that sandwhich plate is meant so that you can add an oil cooler.

your drain is the pan.

Nothing wrong with a JB turbo seeing the same Oil pressure as the engine...

I think he means that both the feed and return will see the same oil pressure as the engine when using that piece. There will be no pressure differential, the oil will not be able to drain, and bad things will happen.

At least that was my understanding.

Dude....that's for plumbing an external oil cooler or filter if the fitting is capped off.

Hence there is a flow to the cooler...and a return back into the engine. Of ALL the oil for the engine, it's entire lifeblood.
