Turbo fox question
1. I was thinking about doing a tubular front end, but due to cost reasons and time, I think I am going to cut a portion out of the frame rail, cap the end and install a piece of round tubing to give me an open surface to mount the S480. I am going to retain the top of the strut tower foward to keep the fender mounting points. I was planning on buying a monkey fab flange and in some form of angle iron to the round tubing, and putting gussets for strength. The monkey fab has two extra mounting holes on the flange to mount to the angle iron, or should I notch the frame rail and make it as flat as possible to mount the t6 flange to. Does anyone know where I could ge the gussets to mount to roll bar tubing? Or just make gussets to mount inside the angle iron for strength?
2. I was going to mount the turbo inside the frame rail on the driver side, and run a four inch down pipe out the passenger side, but if I plan on just turning the turbo around and running the downpipe out of the drivers front bumper. How much of a sound difference would there be versus the three foot of pipe out the passenger front bumper?
3. If I run e85, would I need to run a a mist of meth to help cooling or am i ok? The car will already have a 3 inch intercooler on it. I might just run a flex fuel sensor and the meth for security.
