Physical Sizes of Different Brand Turbos

Who has swapped turbos of different manufacturers and was there a big difference in physical dimensions between the two brands or no? I have what I believe are larger sized (Innovative 72s) twin turbos for my application and am considering swapping to smaller turbos (62 range) and want to know if there's much dimensional variance between brands.

Borg warners are usually on the bigger side, compared to most other manufacturers.

If it is an old T72...that measurement is probably the inducer so potentially it's a pretty big turbo externally. So absolutely a lot of 62mm inducer turbos will be a lot smaller.

But the likes of Precision and others can offer units with various cover sizes. Generally it seems larger is more efficient, so if you have the room, go big.

I went from a Precision 76mm to a Borg 76mm and the Borg was almost twice as big.

Borgs are going to be much bigger.
Turbonetics are typically small. Precision slightly larger depending (lots of options).

Went from a TC78 to a T78 and the overall size of the T78 was much larger than the TC78.
The T78 also required A LOT more fuel at the same boost pressure as the TC78 which I'd guess accounts for the larger compressor housing moving a larger volume of air.
