The questions in this section become more vague every minute.

Realistically, using say a 4.5 inch core that's off the shelf probably about 1200rwhp. You could do a custom 6 inch core and push a little more. This is assuming an inlet one side outlet the other.

The procharger race 4.5 core has run to over 1400rwhp in the corvette but that was a vertical flow core and meth was used on top to help cooling!

Find CFM flow of X intercooler.
Convert that CFM number to HP.
Double it for 1 bar of boost.
Triple it for 2 bar of boost.
So on and so forth.

Lets just say 2 CFM = 1 WHP (It doesn't, but its close).
If an A2A intercooler can flow 1500 CFM, it will support 750 WHP without boost.
At 1 bar of boost, it will support 1500 WHP
At 2 bar of boost, it will support 2250 WHP
At 3 bar of boost, it will support 3000 WHP

People seem to get hung up on CFM numbers when talking boost.
It doesn't work that way.

Why do you ask? Are you running into problems. Your ambient temps in Vegas are not going to help for sure.

I'm no expert, but there cannot be a limit. As everything gets bigger, so will the FMIC, so its all relative.

I guess the limit will be when you have to tow the FMIC behind the car and weight and aerodynamics becomes an issue......LOL

i've noticed recently that we tend to ridicule people for asking "dumb" questions.

i was thinking it might be that they dont exactly know what question they want to ask, and are trying their best to formulate their thoughts.

yeah there are some people who just refuse to google, give those dudes the 3rd degree

but some of this stuff is just beating people down for not knowing.

none of us was born knowing this stuff, someone had to explain it to us. we all learn best by teaching---studies have shown that---so lets try and be more chill

anyways here's a dog jumping up a wall

Absolutely agree. ^^^^ This boost stuff is so damn complicated and complex. Even searching google and searching on the forum can lead to days of reading through threads to try to find the exact info you are looking for.....so just posting the question gets the answers right away. And it usually does some good for everyone because maybe other people jump in with new info, updated info or better ways to do something.

I've been here a long time....I'm just learning about boost. I get people asking how the hell I don't know something with 10,000+ posts. Well, the boost world is all new to me, I don't know ****.

Not turbocharged yet. I'm running a nitrous ls3 set up but looking to come back to the dark side. The reason I was asking was to see if I can run a front mount to efficiently make 1000-1100 rwhp or if it would be in better interest to do an a2w set up.

FMIC and 1,000-1,300 RWHP......easy.

I've been researching and learning all I can before my Huron Speed turbo kit goes in this year. I have everything sitting on my storage waiting to get installed.

I plan on making 1,000+ RWHP with an S485 with V2 race cover. I'll be using the Bell 4.5" FMIC. Every single boost expert I've spoken with said this FMIC will easily handle 1,000 RWHP and definitely aid in charge cooling. I'm also using full time E85.........

Treadstones makes a couple different versions of their lower in, upper out, intercoolers (the most efficient A2A, IC design) that are rated for 1300+hp and the price and sizes are advantageous.

Had to two 3 in garret cores welded together car would barly raise 30 degrees from ambient in the 1/4 and made over 1300 RWHP thru a 4L80E and that's was on 16 pounds pump gas and meth , so with race fuel and lots of timing more boost so yes its limitless

It's a big *** intercooler
