Mishimoto Intercooler Basically the same as CXRacing?
The Mishimoto 24x12x4 looks pretty similar to the CXRacing/eBay special that's popular. Is it the same thing? Or is the Mishimoto better? It includes a lifetime warranty for whatever that's worth. But it comes in black, which I like. It seems like it may be rated to a higher CFM so perhaps less pressure drop. I've seen about 3.5psi across the CXRacing 4" core intercoolers.
Are the mounting tabs the same? In pictures, they look a little different than the CXRacing mounting tabs. I was thinking of using the Huron Speed bracket to install it if it'll fit that...

Post a picture ?
Mishimoto are supposed to be a Japanese made product.
I did recently buy one of their radiators, and quality seems pretty good. Nothing fantastic though. But better than some of the chinese stuff out there. So who knows, no doubt it is still made in China. Must actually check the box to see if it says
From pictures of their IC cores online, they look more akin to the old Apexi core design than the current stuff that is about. As it looks like the core frontal has angled tube fronts ? Not the usual flat front

Seems they offer different types...R Line, S Line, Z Line ?
This is the one I was referring to with the angled tubes like the old Apexi units, they call it their M-Line. All the rest seem to be regular square tubes.

I know that mishimoto has engineers that speak perfect english here in the US and do R&D for many products. On the F150 ecoboost forums they post up requesting feedback on new products they are designing and constantly provide updates. They have made some pretty nice stuff for my truck so far. The custom intercooler they just released that I provided a significant amount of feedback for, is very very nice in its final product.

Roastin...are you able to provide any specs on the custom intercooler you collaborated on with Mish? Slowly diving back into a turbo LSx S14 again though it will be a while till she is up and running.

Ya here is a link to the final product. Not sure if this is okay? Its non LS related and not trying to promote a sale here. I didnt receive any sort of kickback from them. Just provided appropriate feedback to help them tailor it to our trucks appropriately. They selected the core. I recommended geometry, end tank design and fitment in the truck. Also recommended deflectors to trap incoming air and force it through the core. It looks nice in the pictures but have yet to test one or see it in person.
