408ci , s484, e85 th400 dyno numbers...UPDATED
whats up guys, i have a 99 f body with a 408 ci motor and 9.8:1 compression. Afr heads ls6 intake and stock throttle body. I run pump e 85 in the car. I recentley got it tuned and it made 840whp and 800tq. this is on 17lbs through a th400 converter.
Im just wonderin if that sounds right to you guys. i figured it would be more? I ran out of the 1300 cc injector with twin 450 pumps.
3.25 rear gear, 28 inch tire. ptc 9.5 inch converter.
How far can i take this motor on boost?
Callies comp crank
Callies comp star rods.
weisco pistons with pin upgrade and arp everything in the bottom, Mains, 2000 rods bolts. etc.
18-19 degrees of timing. 11.80 AFR.
The dyno is a - Dynojet
UPDATED!!!!!
So i found out why my MPH was down after a few logs at the track. It was pulling timing because of the IAT scale was still what i woould assume be factory setting. It would start to pull at 105-110 degrees. I did see 147 at the highest point but i should have let the car sit a little longer before running.
Is is safe to set the table at 149 degrees and scale to pull timing after?
pure E85 car, air to air intercooler.

Post as much info as you can about the set up. These guys in here seem to know a thing or two. Post up timing, afr, tq converter specs, what type of dyno, fuel, etc. The more you post up, the more can be compared.
I have a similiar build goin with my nova-built ls2, s484, 4l80e. Another guy here i bought turbo from made 888/1004 on 20psi, 408ci, factory ls heads, glide, hp tuners/self tuned, iirc

Whats your base fuel pressure? I have 127lb injectors and they should do close to 1000 rwhp about maxed out. With 127lb injectors and dual 450s you want your base to be (70 ish psi - your boost). If you're running 20 psi of boost your base pressure should be around 50 psi. Dual 450s flow 700 L/HR @ 70 psi and 127lb injectors will flow 661 L/HR. 661 L/HR should support roughly 1075 RWHP on E85. This is based on -8 feed line and a -6 return.
Obviously all dynos vary but on 16 psi my stock 317 headed 370 made 830 rwhp on 16 psi 17 degrees of timing with a 76mm turbo on a brand new load bearing 224 LC dynojet.

I imagine it's how he's looking at it on the gauge. It's only concerned with lamda, and converts it to a number on the gauge. Lamda is lamda, perfect burn regardless of fuel. It would show the same 14.6 with a perfect burn with both gas and E85 because to the sensor, they're both lamda. It's odd at first, but it's a roundabout way of dealing with it when stochiometric swings so much with ethanol percentage. If he's seeing 11.8, it's rich (had to tell exactly, but still about where he needs to be).

tuned a blazer with a 5.3 with an s480, put down 650whp on 18 psi on e85, l33, stage 4 cam, th400 ptc converter. Customer was dissapointed. Told him to run it at the track, blazer weighs 4100 without him in it, went and ran a 9.7 at 145mph.. dont get fooled by the dyno numbers

thats quality whp horse power, I'm gonna toss c02 in the car and get it redone. I felt like it would run out in the mid 900 range. Not in the 800 range. I appreciate the help. I wonder why my hp and tq are so close as well. Maybe turning it up will broaden its efficiency range of the turbo?
