i just installed a cog drive on my ATI kit, now at 3000 rpm i get this vibration that goes through the whole car under load or not.
what could be causing it to do this? almost feels like a bad u- joint but it isn't.
can the belt be skipping? even though i still have all the teeth on the belt.

The only time mine vibrated is when the s/c cog and the alt. pulley decided to kiss. I then went to a steel bracket and didn't have anymore vibration issues. Your belt might be ratcheting. The teeth will be alright and still there, the belt just jumps teeth due to loose tension. Try a little bit more tension....
But Bos was feeling this same thing too.

Yea, the vibration is the teeth skipping over the blower pulley......the teeth will be there for a while, but after many times of it happening they will wear, your best bet is to get more belt wrap with it like BlwnTA did with the extra idler, you will most likely have to reorder the COG stuff....

I don't think belt wrap is the answer. I've been doing a little research into this and I think we need a wider cog belt. I talked to polytech who makes and deals with cog/timing belts and are experts. They say we won't get the grip we need by going with just more belt wrap, one or two teeth won't make that much difference. They say a 50mm belt will do the trick.
