This is not my 1st choice (i want an A&A bracket with a Vortech) but a good friend of mine has offered his new kit to me for a great price. I am considering it.
Well I got the kit on the truck, and already had it stretch the belt and ruin one of the idler pulleys. The plan was to take the truck to the track this Friday but looks like the new Gates RPM belt and idler pulley will not be here till next week. Hopefully the new belt will fix the issue.
I called Vortech and was told to use the green gates or try the new RPM series. I believe Vortech knows there is an issue. I also read some comments on Instagram about the belt stretch and manual tensioner being an issue.
The gates RPM belt I ordered was the PNK061145RM (K06 13/16" x 115 1/4") and the idler I ordered was the Gates PN 38028 (Both off Amazon). The kit came with a Dayco 89003 (you can see the pulley right above my fan housing on the left in the Pic). The idler is slightly wider for the belt to ride and is smooth metal and not plastic like the Dayco 89003..
I got the belt on and it was TIGHT (had to loosen the tensioner all the way and force/slide the belt on) The truck pulled hard before but seems to pull a lot better now especially above 5,000 RPM's. I rigged up (for now) my boost gauge to see just how much its making.
The gates rpm belts work well . I’m running 13-14 lbs on my whipple with a 6 rib set up . I used to get a month out of a green belt before it was stretched to the max . The rpm belt hasn’t stretched at all .
After 3 years I finally installed this onto my car. I got rid of the 3.6 blower/7 inch crank pullies and went with 3.33/7.8 inch pullies. Minus belt slip it should be spun to its max RPMs around 6200.
I still need to plan my fuel system, switch to a 2 bar system and get it tuned. Hoping for good numbers. Waiting for 3.5 inch tubing to make the inlet.
No dyno numbers. Motor is a 6.0 LQ9 with custom cam,headers etc. Did 370hp 380tq on motor. Belt that came with kit is stretched already. ordered a gates rpm belt yesterday. was pushing 8 to 9lbs of boost but now at 6lbs. believe belt is slipping a little. Fun to drive gets a little loose when boost kicks in no traction. tires next

I tried to message you, but couldn't. Don't mean to bring this back from the dead, but I'm very interested in your belt setup! Are you running an ATI balancer with corvette accessories to run a dedicated belt for the vortech, or figure out something with the LSA balancer? I've been trying to piece together something for mine, I'd love to know what you settled on being that it seems to work great! Thanks
