I have the 70001 kit running on a 5.3. Install and initial start up were great, motor fires right up every time hot or cold and runs pretty well. I have an issue where it stalls coming to a stop, RPM drops as I slow down and it doesn't catch itself before stalling out. I have messed with the DFCO settings but it is still there a bit. Any tips?

Also, anyone care to share their timing tables?

The biggest thing for me has been getting the idle steps right. Fitech wants the steps to be between 3 and 10 at idle, mine lands between 0 and 10. That's critical for the rest of the idle control. My idle is 700

One thing I have going on is when engine is warming up and iac count is coming down say around 40 engine will stumble and act as if you turned the key off and right back on and the iac count will jump to 22-23 but idle comes right back and idles fine. Doesn't do it everytime. I've ordered a new iac valve not sure if its causing problem or not, another thing is turn key to on tps shows 0.0 you start engine and 0.5 shows in display for tps, was wondering if this has effect on timing since its not on 0.0 you can move throttle and it comes back to 0.5. Wondering if anyone are seeing odd things like this? My throttle responce at idle was rich had to lean it out quit a bit.

Don't get so caught up on that 8-10 iac step bs, it may not be possible unless you're using their tb or one like it. My truck tb likes low 30s and works great from there. I have no pcv system so my iac needs to be open more than normal. Opening the blade till I got a low iac step just gave me a headache of troubles

I've got the hand held open now and do not see anywhere about a supercharger option. Looked under initial setup nothing about that. I'm using the truck throttle body with no pvc also. Probably wouldn't hurt to install new software and start over, as long as its easy to do. I've ran 10 gallons of gas thru just playing with it in the garage. Impatient1 you meant closing the blade till you got down to 3-10 caused you problems.

Play with the idle screw, power down the system to reset the tps back to zero, restart and see where it lands. I've got the 102 mm throttle body. The lower the number, the better control it will have.

do the update

Ya its odd it doesn't always go back to 0. I always shut the system down each time when making adjustments approx. 2-3 minutes. I'll send impatient a pm for copy of software thanks for info.

all the new software does on initial setup is add the alpha n setting for na or super, which can already be done via procal. With a truck tb youll need the blade open alot more than the stock screw will do. I went to a spring loaded bigger screw but I read of someone just flipping the idle screw around.

Keep in mind a 102 isn't a 78, what passes by that blade is huge compared to a stock gm tb with stock iac. Nowhere close to apples to apples comparing their 90mm with a pcv system vs a 78mm truck tb with no pcv system, can't expect to achieve what they want if you're not using all they used get me😉

Looked thru Procal for alpha n setting for na or super must not have it on my software edition looked under all settings but the right one. Ya I get what your saying about the throttle bodies not being the same size, I agree with ya.

I understand the difference in the throttle bodies also, but it's a dance between the steps and the blade screw.. But if your car idles at let's say 700 rpm with a step count of 30. 30 means it's allowing more air in to achieve the idle. If you open the blade more, the steps would go down to achieve the same idle. It doesn't really matter the size of the blade or pcv, it's still a mechanical adjustment.. fitech wants that same step setting on there small blade carb style setups to..

I also could not go through prcal for that supercharged setting until the update.

if it has an adaptive spark or dedicated idle spark section you can also use that too add timing to recover RPM in conjunction with your IAC airflow corrections making the IAC job a little easier

it has idle stability timing that dances around quite a bit correcting idle rpm, has a 10* or so swing either direction

The alpha n for super or na is under the "cold and baro enrichment" tab at the bottom, it's always been on mine since I got the 70050 kit back in Jan. They let you control it from the handheld now with update, the big spark table is less aggressive under boost now and they changed up the ve tables for the 1-4cam settings is all I can see that's changed from the update

I found the AlphaN Super or Turbocharger "value 5", "unit NA Limp". What should the settings be for Turbo? I think you just change it to Super Limp value 21.

alpha n option "super" covers all boosted setups. I'm trying a 4:1 mix of avgas to 91 today hoping the gallon of 91 to 4 avgas knocks lead content down below racegas levels😕plan is at least a few 20+lb pulls today at the lake. Wish me luck, haven't herd or read of anyone over 20 yet with these ecu's😨
