Once you're over 4 psi you should be able to yank timing out. Try 10 than 5 than 0 etc until it spools like you want. Keep afr to 13:1 and timing high until you get all the rpm you can than yank timing and fatten gradually to get things lit.

I had a super super tight converter last year that only flashed 2500 and would make 1 psi.

I went from this

To this with the technique I described

Now I have a ptc and it doesn't matter much of what I do lol

Being that this engine has forged pistons with valve reliefs you "should" be okay. But since it is a 12 degree head, you might check just to be sure.

Im going to try leaning it out on 2step tonight. shoot for 13.0-13.5afr i would like the car to end at 3600rpm and 7-9psi.

13.5 afr to lean popping on 2step?

If i can not get the car to spool 7-9psi i will go back in and adv another 2deg.
I have been turning the engine over by hand every time i move cam. when i was on the 6deg adv there was no issue touching since, i cant check p/v clearance. i thought about adv cam 8deg which would put cam on a 108. if the engine turns over by hand with no interferance the 6deg adv should be safe i would think..
going to try fuel first I think its really close.

I would put on the checking springs, put the piston at 8 degrees after top dead center and lower the valve to see what you get if you can.

The new converter flashes to 3500 on the tbrake before boost. It doesn't really have a stall speed. It's a ptc specced by the man Dusty Bradford. It's amazing it drives tighter on the street down low , less slip up top yet it spools insane in the trans brake. It's a 15-0-45 stator in it.

9, are you installing cam using degree wheel? If so, where was the ICL before you moved the cam? Where is ICL now?

ok guys, left the cam at the 4deg adv that i did last night left the timing at 31deg at 2600rpm ramps down to 26deg by 3600rpm, the car hit 3600rpm 2step tonight.
i leaned out the ramp from 102kpa 13.5afr 130kpa 13.1afr 155kpa 12.0 =3600rpm 2step I sit there on the 2sdtep for a sec and the afr stayed around 11.7 12.0 you could here the car start to labor once it started fating up, not enough to lose rpm but the boost did drop to 145-150kpa as i sit there never dropped any lower. at roughly 8psi should i lean it any more? I do alot of no prep racing here local i just want to make sure im not getting to lean if i just flat foot it of foot brake vs bump up on 2step.

Im happy with the way it is now far as psi/2step rpm.. leave good alone or lean on it more? thanks guys
