Default Turbo 5.3 question

Looking to see what it would take or even be possible to run an 8.0 with 5.3 and a max turbo size of 76mm...cast wheel. Engine in the car is rod/piston 5.3 with ljms stage 3 turbo cam. Has ptc converter with a glide..air to water intercooler mounted in passenger seat with 4" piping from turbo to engine. Car is running with Holley dominator and on e85. As of right now car is really lazy down low with a best 60ft of 1.40 and et of 9.1 @ 149 at 18 lbs of boost. Has cast s475 turbo currently but looking for options to make this think really run...starting to get frustrated with it

If you have enough injector, push the boost up... A LOT. A/W cooled, E85??? Assuming your not pushing 11:1 compression, you're likely in the safe zone to nearly 30psi. And that will wake your junk up big time.

If you're not proficient at maintaining your state of tune, do not take my advice.

BTW, 1.4sec 60' seems pretty respectable. What would you like it to be?

Compression of around 8.8. Tune is pretty spot on and yes i am running out of injector...gonna order a set of 160's this week. Currently has id1000's but they are at 100% duty cycle. Tune is spot on for the current boost level command a 7.5 and that's where she's at. Just wondering that s475 will even make 30 lbs of boost is my question. As for 60's I guess I'm just use to the nitrous car before cutting 1.23 60ft times

Yes...100% race car...the 5.3 is really just a stepping stone/learning experience. Don't have much money in it and not really scared to hurt it

1.20's are possible with an S475 just leave on more boost, we got a 3700lb stock suspension car doing that on the same turbo. Give it the beans it'll make 30, if not more we've pushed the 80 and 84mm higher.

I'd consider larger than that. Maybe 220's, to help give yourself some breathing space in your tune.

1.4 is okay for a 10 second car. The OP is trying to go 8.0s. He will want to be at least in 1.2s.

I missed the 8s part. My fault.

I mean it's 2017 no reason cars shouldn't be hooking and booking. 1.4 is good for a manual car on 275's to run bottom 9's and pulled 1.5's before the two step was hooked up. But for a stalled auto on a tire I would want to be showing a manual car tailights at the 60'. With a properly stalled TH400 on a 275 leaving on boost stock suspension fbody has gone repeated 1.25's. By stock I mean literally stock, clapped out springs shocks and everything running mid 8's.

I can dig this, it's just odd (at least for me) to hear a 1.4 60 being lazy. But like it was brought out earlier, op is looking for 8s with his setup.... so in that case it is a touch lazy. I'm just used to my junk running FAR worse. Would sell my soul for 1.4 60.

Bring it to my local track. No prep.
Nothing hits 1.2x.
