Default Starting to blow smoke during long pulls in boost..possible seals?

So im out playing with the car making videos about to do a fair size burnout but noticed non tire blue smoke coming out the exhaust. My setup is pretty simple.Stock 03 lq4,stg 2 ljms cam,btr 660 spring kit(i did myself) on my 317 heads.I do have a MM catch can also which seems to be doing a good job of collecting oil mist and I drain it regularly.

Heres where i suspect possible valve seals might be bad.Driving normaly i get no smoke unless I start pushing 10psi.Im currently using synthetic 5w30 oil.Ive since pulled off my charge piping and there is no oil trace there.I pulled the intake off and found some oil around the last 3 driver side cylinder gaskets and the ports on the heads were coated.

Aside from that the engine runs great, and the smoke clear right up once im off the throttle after a few seconds.Any ideas to help me figure out whats wrong would be great.I might try a compression check now that it has miles on the motor to be safe.

When the turbo is going, you will get some smoke on hot starts. At least that's been my experience.

Nope..no smoke on hot or cold starts,no smoke on low boost pulls.Once I start hitting over 10psi though..smoke starts to our out.Hence i think i got valve seals..if it were piston rings i would think it would smoke all the time like?Oddly though the downpipe and exhaust are not wet with oil..but i can feel a film of it as if it were burning in the cylinders first and it sure smells that way when it happens.

How's the turbo shaft play? Could be a turbo deal and when it spins super fast and hot it expands and wobbles letting oil by.

lol I don't blame you. We were on the trail in my buddies jeep and the tranny felt funny but he was like oh ima beat this trails ***. Scattered the tranny and had to be pulled 20 miles to the road lol. Send me a PM though I'm really interested in hearing how you like your turbo. I'm interested in that one as it's bigger than a 7875 but not physically massive like a borg I don't think. I've got a built 370 and it needs some power but I'm super limited by turbo size as my turbo sits right in front of the engine

Valve guide seals would leak under vacuum, not boost.

I like the turbo so far its been trouble free.It favors a good flowing exhaust which i dont have right now.It lights up quickly and makes strong midrange power. Not as strong in high rpm but I think thats more due to my setup than the turbo itself. My 78/75 didnt wasnt as efficient compared to this.Pm me if you have more questions.

Found the problem i think..or a good probable cause. The check valve i added inline for my catchcan was stuck closed. It wasnt drawing any vapors out of the driver side head.Ive made some light pulls just to see if i had a smoke trail and so far it seems much better.I think some of the oil has pooled and will eventually clear out the more I drive and meth gets sprayed.
