new best with traction issues.
made a few runs yesterday in the nova the new fuel system is working good but I have to stop trying to get these 275 pros and srd bars to hook at my local stuck in the 70s no prep track.
I'm having to leave at 0 boost to keep it hooked. so my 60' suck. I ran a few 10.0s and 10 teens and one 9. the fastest being the softest launch I made that day
best being
1.63 60'
6.48@113.08
9.87@140.96.
I think it is a easy 9.60 car if I can launch hard and not spin.
but nothing broke and I had a good time so I can't complane.

here is a link to my buddys Camaro. he has been working on the suspension but did get a 9.56 yesterday at 19 psi boost and a couple 9.60s. as well. I think he has gotten beyond the sweet spot on the on3 78/75 so we are going to try his borg t4 80mm next time out. his iat's were getting hi .

my srd bars are like caltrack bars but more adjustable. i'll post a pic. the rear shocks are just non adjustable shocks. front comes up and stays up woth no hoping.
with my slappers the whole car whould lift at launch and it whould always hook from a dead stop the rear whould separate 3 or 4 " and if it was to spin it was about 50-60 feet out.and I thing good shocks whould have fixed that.
with the srd bars it will spin from a dead stop but if it goes out 20 feet it will stay hooked and run good from there. and I get very little separation if any. tires are 275 pro's @16.5 psi.
I'm also wondering if I'm getting beyond what my auburn pro posi can handle . thinking about a spool . thanks.

I'll look them up.
I don't think these or CalTracs give a ton of separation. But they do push the tire into the track. You want shocks with fast extension. And stiff compression.
The front of course needs to work in unison.
You can also run the 275's lower on pressure. Down to 14 even.
Still hard to overcome a bad track though......😬

Hey Mike, nice runs so far! CalTracs/SRD bars kinda work like your old slappers, but not really. Kind of a long unnecessary explanation at this point. With CalTracs or SRDs, start with the bar parrallel to the ground or the front of the bar slightly higher. The more you move the front of the bar or the spring eye (hint, hint) up the harder the hit will be. Radials need to be bitch slapped into the surface and held there by the throat! (Sorry, was getting off topic, haha). That's where the good shocks come in. Loose extension and stiff rebound/compression is where you want to be to start. Just try and keep it from hitting the stops or topping out the shocks. Then once it's hooking, start tightening down the rebound/extension until it won't hook, then back it up. That goes for the front AND rear. The car should react equally front and rear during the launch. Don't under inflate the radials either, it'll cause problems too. I'd start at 18-20 psi. Keep us posted.

Following this, having a lot of trouble hooking my dads ls1 nova on the street, and just about finished with my turbo nova. Dads car with full Calvert suspension wiouldmseperate the rear so hard it would top out he shocks. Put some double adjustables on and it helped by slowing it down but still lays black marks heavily. Hooks great at the track.

thanks guys its a lot of fun. im going to do some rear end work and try and get a spool in it as well as lower the *** end down a little to help weight transfer and I might try some old school slicks and see how it likes it. I feel right now it has about a 9.60 tune in it if I can get the 60' down in the 1.4s at all. but my local track is an old school track that just preps about 20 feet or so . 275 pro's are good tires but I think a full slick is best.
