Default Huron Speed IAT sensor

I have the Huron Speed V3 A/C kit and got it powder coated. It has a hole drilled for a IAT sensor, but no bung welded on... I assume I will need to grind off the powder coat weld in a bung for the IAT then send it all out to have it re powdered.

Is there another option? what is everyone else doing that ordered their kits already powdered?

Reuse the factory rubber plug that the iat slides into.

Will that hold up to 15 + psi boost?

Make sure it's TIGHT and use some silicone to help seal the deal.
If you're concerned you can go with the weld in/ thread in though.

Yes it will hold as much as you can dish out.

In all seriousness though... If given to choice between threading it in and a slip fit, one should probably thread it in. Sure it will take you an extra hour to weld a bung on it, but the piece of mind it brings is totally worth it. Since you made a post about it, its obvious it will bug you.

If there was an issue with it, we would not set it up that way. Nothing to worry about!

Thanks for the answers. I was ready to grind it down and weld a bung on it, but i will give the factory style a try first if its not an issue.
