Default Worth it, and what else would be needed?

Well I came across what I think may be a deal on procharger piping with the dual 3.5" intercoolers. I could get it for about $400, they are dented a bit but supposedly don't leak. I know I would need the head unit and a J-bracket, but what else would be needed?

I already have an ATI balancer but it is a 10% underdrive and not pinned. Is pinning necessary?

I just finished a HCI build that is certainly not optimized for FI (11:1 CR, 226/230-113+2 cam, 39# injectors, and racetronix 255 pump). With the high CR I assume I would pretty much need to run Meth even with low boost?

Would the injectors and fuel pump handle low boost (5-8 PSI I was thinking)?

What else am I not considering? Only reason this even crossed my mind is that it seems like a decent deal, if it's not please let me know. Would you think it would be worth adding? I want a reliable lowish maintenance street car to cruise around in, but like many I'm always hungry for some more power. Thanks in advance.

Not worth it. The bracket and head unit are the expensive part... Plus since your build isn't set up for FI the benefits would be marginal. Id say pass.

You'd be better off just spraying it, and it would be way cheaper as well. That's just my opinion

Thanks for the quick input, I will pass on it.

What are your thoughts on throwing one of these dual intercooler procharger setups on an otherwise stock car? I ask because my father may end up wanting some more power out of his trans am after driving my car. I dropped about $6k in parts for my HCI build, and the install is pretty involved. I was thinking he could get the same or better power output for less money and a way easier install with the procharger kit.

Single front is better, but some of us don't want to modify the car like that. I'm in that boat and am strongly considering a dual IC procharger kit. I don't want to take my pristine bumper apart, hack anything else in there. Plus I like easy. Although the dual may not be easier, so I dunno.

There's a reason people are selling just the dual intercoolers. Think about that

Is it possible to get a FMIC without cutting the bumper?

And what do you all think about price/power/ease of installation of a procharger (on a stock engine) vs an HCI build?

Yes you don't have to hack up the bumper to get an FMIC in there. It fits in place of the front bumper support. You just have to watch IATs. And I would say a procharger install is easier than a heads cam install and will make more power.
