How far do you guys push 91 fuel?
I got a 71 nova, lq4 engine all stock other then ls9 gaskets, 224/224 112 cam, ls6 intake, has a gt45 76/77 turbo. Cr should be around 9.4. I ran the car in about 5k da, 85 degrees outside, ait stays at or below 130. It went 1.62 short time, 10.81@124 on 10psi of boost and 17ish degrees of timing, this is through a ptc converter, 4l80e, 3.08 gear, 3610 lbs. Now according to those number its around 530 to 540 rwhp real world, so maybe a little higher on a sae corrected dyno.
Question is how much harder do you all think I could push this thing on straight 91 fuel? Thought of maybe trying 13psi on like 15 degrees, but im sure the iat's will come up a little too right away.
Curious to see how far some of you have gone with pump fuel (and not blown it up) I do not want to hurt the engine just to try and run a number, I just want it to run the best it can

I'm at 12 lbs. w/ a T7875 but I'm also at sea level for the most part.
I don't know what the timing is at and now that I think about it I've never pulled a plug either lol.
Some guys in here seem to think you can go a lot higher on pump only, I was recommended by my tuner not to go much higher than 12 lbs. on straight pump only.

Yeah, it seem's to me that it's getting close to the edge, I am running a br7ef plug in it so that should help. I think im going to try 12psi once it cools down a bit. I put a 28in slick on the back to race it, im going to try and get a little tire up front and up the 2 step a little more, this was leaving on 2.5psi of boost at 2700 rpm. Id like to see if I get it running 10.50 on pump fuel. I drove the car 2.5 hours up there, raced it, and drove it home. Avg 16.8 mpg with the racing lol

Not if it's right lol, ill just have to work on the car to get the et down, I think I get can 10.50s with this power. I made 806rw with this same combo in a friend pickup, that was just e85 and 20psi, so if I want more ill just go that way, this is still on the factory tank and 5/16 fuel line, 255 pump and vett filter..

Problem is e10 91 is pretty much 87 with a little ethanol in it, without the octane being any higher I dout it would help any. You could probably tune it too 11.0af on 91 then put a gallon or two of e85 on top of the 91 which would get you better fuel and lean you up to 11.5af, but I feel like if im going through the hassle of that I might aswell run straight e85. But then id need to put a cage in it and trailer it.
