Ok so my friend scored a nice 80 c10 sb . Came with a complete 99 5.3. Looking for a decent turbo kit. Any body done one recently? Prob gonna go Holley mounts, Chinese turbo ,rework the harness etc.. this is my first turbo build . Seem to be a few ways to go. What have people used with success? Thanks

Yes bought the truck as a roller w/ motor, and a built 700r4(not sure if we will use trans)

Prob going to gap rings, ls9 gaskets, head studs, etc... looking at btr turbo cam, just have to fig out what turbo manifolds to use, plus turbo selection

the KB racing manifold is great and would fit easy. there's a ton of room in a squarebody engine bay.

sell the 700r4 and snag an 80e or a th400. add some caltrac bars and let it rip

I was hoping you would chime in on this. So u think the Kb mani is the way to go? Truck manifold on the other side and make our own crossover?

yeah its a great piece to build a hotside around. he does complete kits too.

if you have been putting that tig to use you could probably zap up something like this from truck mainfolds. it clears all the truck accessories.
