the car has now been 1.41 60. 6.03 at 116 mph 1/8 and 9.44 at 143 at 3510 lbs . I went to a ladder bar rear setup with a 275 pro tire and swapped the 3.23 to a 3.42. but still run a 1.76 glide with a ptc 10" converter. much less drama to get launched and works well with a cheap manual boost controller. I was running 19 -20 psi boost leaving at 7 ish psi letting it make boost as fast as it can.

Oh ****, i ordered a freakshow converter too it should arrive this week. And i will use a 5.3 turbo and a glide so thats sounds not good......should have read this threads before ordering the converter :-(

When I start making more than 700, I will definitely upgrade to PTC etc... but for now it is a good budget converter.

I run a 1.76 glide with a ptc 3200 converter and a 3.23 gear and 28" tire and it works good at my low to no prep track. 5 psi launch will get me 1.50 60' times and if traction was not an issue it whould go a lot faster.
a 3 or 4 psi launch with a 6000 rpm shift will get me in the 9.90 range at 3600 lbs at 16 psi boost.

when I let off trans brake it flashes to around 4600 then climbs from there its at 14lbs by 53or5500 i shift there but I was trying all over to see if something helped but I typically shifted at 6 or 61 it would drop to 52 or 53 and kinda just fluctuate around there to the 8th its like it was trying to couple the converter but wheel speed wasn't there yet to start climbing

Still really doesn’t answer how fast it comes on. Are you just using the wastegate or are you able to put pressure on the dome? You need to shift that thing AT LEAST 6500. Can’t lug the 5.3s, they don’t make a ton of torque to start with. My cam is smaller than yours (218, .570) and it pulls to 6700-7000 no sweat. I’m a t4 475 small wheel.
