My thought process was, I didn’t take it to the track or Dyno before. Which I wish I would have, but I had free time to install new turbo, I’m impatient.....so on it went. But rather just going off my butt Dyno and my sons opinion, I thought that the video and screen shots of a comparison video would at least show it’s a difference. If it picked up 2-3mph in a 60-110 run, I’d say it would AT LEAST make a 2-3mph difference in the 1/4. But I get it, it’s not the strip and it’s not the Dyno. But a gain is a gain, especially if it can be proven, and that’s all I was trying to show.

I am currently using the on3 cast 7875 (supporting mods below) M6 car, 3.42 gears ect.... on 8.5 #'s the car made 652 / 630 on pump 93 octane with VPracing additive and 13* timing. That was on a Dyno Jet dyno... The single disc clutch was starting to slip from the smell of it so we called it a day. Should be getting back on the dyno real soon with the new Ram Dual Street clutch and now on E85 and planning on 12-14 #s. I too have been looking at the billet turbos like you all.... Maybe after Tx2k I will swap out and can get a good apples to apples comparison with the turbo being the only change.

Well this is good news for me and pretty impressive. Mine should make close to the same power then on my 10psi through an auto.

78/75 cast, 5.3 decapped injectors, stock cam, LM7, th400 in a 4600lb c10 LWB. Ran a 14 flat 1/4 with a .7 reaction time spinning street tires the whole time. That was on 10lbs.

If the weather clears up for the week end im going back to the track with the meth injection working now, new shocks rather than the 1984 factory ones lol and sway bar. Have it running about 15-16lbs now going to go for low 13's high 12's. I need some slicks lol.

That's not exactly bad, considering it's a non aerodynamic, 4600 pound land barge he's racing, on 10psi.

I'd be really surprised if that 7875 could hit 800rwhp

ya its not great. It was also the first time at the track and still not tuned all the way and missing the meth injection control unit. I got two passes before it was time for the big dog to run points and that .7sec reaction time is not helping lol. I since got a new controller from Snow, the old one was on the fritz. It's also on street tires. I'm kinda hoping for low 13's at best without real tires and some caltracs or something. My stall is about 2200 as well on a 13" modded stock converter.

Reaction has zero to do with E.T.

Amazing how many people don't know that. And how many more people have no idea at the track how to do a burnout and stage their cars....like seriously all tracks should have a sign with the steps lol.

I have no clue. There is one track here and the two runs i made on it were the first time i ever got on a drag track. I spend my years racing ovals on ice lol.

It wasn't a shot at you directly, just surprising that more people don't look it up online or ask a friend whose been or something.

I guess it comes from the first perception of drag racing i got exposed to, probably the same for lots of people, where the first one across the line wins so reaction is just lumped in there. I just decided to go to the track because the thing was getting to hairballs to keep tuning it on the street like that. But no offense taken anyhow. There was all sorts of **** i learned that day that isn't obvious unless you actually drive a car on the track. Just like someone above said too, burnouts are a thing you have to get right lol. First run I did not get them hot enough and spun tires hard at peak torque in 2nd. Street tires don't hook on a track anything like you think they will. I still want to go back this week end if it doesn't rain when i can get more than two runs in. I wasn't sure what to expect out of it really. Lots of the cars with the same setup run 12's. 10psi was fun, its 16 now and its terrifying lol.

LTS, it takes time and practice. Lot's to process depending on the setup until you get your routine down. Keep having fun!
