Default Engine Pro rods

Has anyone heard anything good or bad about these rods? They look like the typical rebranded China rods which I'm ok with but just want to make sure they aren't complete ****. I see Steve Morris put his name on them but I can't find anymore info on them. IMO they identical to the K1 rods.. can anyone confirm or deny they are a rebranded K1? This motor will see 1100whp max.

Prob no better or no worse the Eagle/Scat/Molnar. But no real experience with them myself, just tuned a few low hp deals with them in it.

I recently found the breaking point of some eagle rods. They gave out on the third pass of a 3500lb car going 8.6 @ 167 i don't know what wrist pins are in it though I'll have to check.

I mean 1100 hp isn't really a budget build. it would probably be worth the few extra hundred to buy proven rods for piece of mind

My answer to that would be do you know how expensive it is to throw a rod out the side of the block? I mean I'm not going to sit here and act like an expert. I have never heard of those rods before. In my build I used the lunati rods from tick at like 500 bucks or something on clearance. I'm sure they are some cheap China **** but lunati stamped their name on it after inspecting them so I can get behind them. I'm also not looking for 1100rwhp and more like 750 in a 370" engine so it shouldn't be too hard on them. I'd just hate for you to get these super amazing price rods and ruin your expensive engine when there are budget friendly parts to be had that are generally well supported.

I picked up a set of them a while back. They are 100% identical to the $170 Speedmaster forged H-beams I have with the exception of rods bolts.

Someone I know is running the Speedmaster rods in a 5.3 pushing 20 PSI through a Borg S475, using the supplied Speedmaster rod bolts.

How much stronger than an OEM Gen 4 rod they might be, I don't know.

I thought the gen 1 SB rods were the same, just needed slight clearance on one side on the small end, lots of them out there cheap

Yes I'm aware. Steve Morris put his name on these so I'll assume they aren't complete ****.
