Yeah it does look tiny. Its just some 2.25" I had left over from making the turbo hot side.

Haven't updated in a while. Been waiting on a few things to come together. Was finally able to get most of the interior back in the car. I also found a good deal on a gen IV aluminum 5.3 block and crank, so I pick that up and tossed it together with some gen IV rods/pistons I had laying around. Hoping to have it all going in there the next week or so.

Beautiful work sir, man that turned out nice...like you knew what you were doing lol.
I'll be curious to hear in car vids of that exhaust. I'd like to do that as well as it would not only save weight over what I have but be quiet when I want it to be and then flow when I need it to make power.

Thanks everyone. This is the rest of the exhaust. Nothing fancy, just some mild steel I blasted together with the mig. I'll take some video of it this weekend when the snow melts again.

Hopefully my wife won't need to wear ear plugs when we go cruising now.

Looks great!

I just finished up my "Quiet pipe" setup too. Looks really similar. I was lazy and went with the Walker brand axle back kit. It's only 2". Then used scrap I had laying around to do the rest. Man what a difference!

It does make a huge difference. I need to get some rubber hangers or something for mine. It rattles the car pretty good as-is.

Got out to the track Saturday. Can't complain with the results for the first outing. Got a few things to work on but it's looking like it should really run.

Congrats, looks great! What kind of boost did that take? More responsive than the twins I take it? Get any back pressure data? RPM?

The 148mph pass was about 18psi/12-13* and the 151mph pass was 20psi/11-12*. I don't have any back pressure data. It will make 9psi on the TB in about 2 seconds after going WOT, way better than last year. Was shifting it around 6800rpm and it was 7000-7100 out the back. Might need to change the rear gear back to a 3.27, its got a 3.55 in it now.

Ever tried shifting higher? Say 7500 rpm? I keep thinking I need to rev mine out more after seeing all these record setting 8000+rpm SBE monsters. (and those are standard stroke 5.3’s) My 4.8 seems to fall flat with the LS6 intake around 6500ish. (BTR .660 duals, 217/222 @ 111 .56X w/ 1.8 rockers)
