Thanks Kyle, What fuel filter are you using and where did you mount it? I'm thinking of picking one up similar to the one MM uses, but maybe mounting it up in the engine bay.

Mike,

I went with a Aueromotive filter before the pump and i am going to order another one for after the pump. I really like it. I bought all my fuel stuff from Na$ty Nate @ Na$ty Performance .. over there>>>>>>
Nate will hhok you up with everything you need. I bought all the fuel fittings from Summit though.
Sumped stock tank (98 have metal... i was lucky) Bousch 420L external and i used Nates Billit rails and a Aueromotive Bosst ref Reg. that i dont have hooked up.... i ahev my base FP at 56psi and it was steady as a rock on the dyno.

Heres a link to my new page im working on for my engine build up.....
http://itlxlr8.homestead.com/Builduppics.html

Hope i helped ..... im off to bed.......

The other thread isn't getting quite as much traffic as I was hoping, soi I'll ask here.

I'm debating on upgrading my -6AN line to either an -8AN or -10AN fuel supply line. The price difference is pretty nominal compared to the overall cost of the upgrade. So the decision is strictly performance. Is there any trouble supporting a 10 line? Any effect on partial or WOT acceleration? Is it too much line for dual Walbro 340s?

What type and size of supply line are you all using?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Great thread & link, I saved to my hard drive in case I ever need to do this. One thing to consider, if you go with a big capacity system and THEN ad a high volume pump, it can actually heat up all the gas in you fuel tank. I don't know where the threshold is, but remember someone in Mich did a hugh system and then used a gigantic pump, which allowed a hellava lot more fuel to pump than needed and it then made the trip back to the tank. So maybe pumping volume need to be adjustable or at least considered.

Anyone running -10AN line into a 99+ tank? I'd love to do a sumped 98 setup, but just can't right now. Looking for any input, feedback, or advice. I know I'm doing a twin walbro 340 intank to my 42# SVO injectors. But I just don't know if I want to order -10AN or -8AN line. I've heard from several -8AN guys and they are very pleased with there setups. I'm positive an -8AN line will support my needs for quite some time. But once i start laying down 700+ I'm worried that I might have to upgrade again and I'd rather just do it right this time around.

So -10AN guys, any drawbacks? I'm currently stock, although not for long, but would I have troubles with fuel delievery with my current fuel setup and stock block/stock cubes?

Is there a general hp level at which one would want to switch from -8AN to -10AN lines?

Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

heres something else to think about........ Volume...... those fuel lines are huge.. 10AN i mean...... you probably wont have enough pump to support a 10an fuel line.....
anyone know???? Im happing with my -8an and i hope it is enough to reach my goal of 600rwhp. it should.

I hear ya Kyle, that's exactly what I'm worried about. It's easy to say bigger is better and just throw in the larger line, but I'm thinking like you... 10 is big, but is it too big? Just wish some of the more experienced fuel guys would lend a little advice on the subject.
