Default Boosted C6Z06 Texas Mile

We had a great weekend at The Texas Mile in Victoria running car 120 a 2006 Z06. Would like to congratulate Bobby Weige on his new best of 218.9mph and his great driving. Every pass was 213+mph this weekend with 10+mph head winds. We managed to speed up every pass with just tuning changes until we maxed our fuel system keeping us from hitting our 220mph goal.
I would like to thank everyone who fought the wind and cold with us this weekend, it takes some great friends to help from Thursday-Sunday.
We have ran this 400" Dart LSX from Scott Herzog at Arrow Machine in Brenham at 200+mph at the last 5 Texas Mile events and just changed the oil and plugs. We are about at the limit of our blower but we are just getting getting started on making power with this motor. It makes tuning so much easier when you have such a solid engine to work with. Besides 30 runs at the mile all at over 200+mph it has countless Dyno pulls on it making over 1,000rwhp.

I love it when a car is done right and only needs plugs and oil. What size blower and boost?

ECS 2200R maxed out at 20psi. Yes the motor is very awesome IMO, we have checked the valves after we get back and they have not needed any adjustment ever. It doesnt burn oil, smoke, leak, all 8 plugs look perfect. We run the same plugs all weekend actually. Its about as low maintenance as it gets. Arrow Machine did a hell of job on it.

Is the second speed listed the half mile trap speed? Do you know what that car traps in the 1/4 mile?

The first speed is 1/4 mile, the second is 1/2 mile and the last is the mile speed. They calculate your mile speed by how fast you go through the last 132ft of the mile.
Due to traction we dont go full power until after the 1/4 mile. We are limited by the rules on what tires we can run. We only run it at the mile, its not setup for drag racing, so it would not do very go at all trying to run it in the 1/4. We have other cars we drag race, including a twin turbo 5th gen street car.

Full pressure....or do you know the psi was used for the mile runs?

Is it a real stable tire at high speed?

I ask because I'm trying to figure out which tire to get for my car. 335/18 is what I'll be using. But a stable tire at high speed.

It was cold last weekend, we started at 24psi, but had 15+mph winds so the car was moving around some but for the most part the tires are good. We have been running them on both Z06's for several years at the mile.

You think those are good choice for a street car on good weather days, highway roll runs?
