137 is kicking it! You'll probably find more to once you feel good about hitting it. Congrats!

What gear?
2:73.....yea...i know lol. But I like the gear, as it keeps me from buzzing along on the freeway.... and with the 26 inch tire...i really think it's about right for what I have. Seems your ride is definitely dialed in, moves on out.

Solid runs and great mph for a soft launch, you have a lot of speed to look forward to when she has a built rear end, a solid 9 sec ride when you can lean on her out of the Hole!! Now that's a Beast of a DD!

Thanks. I will be one happy man when I finally have the hardware in place, that will allow me to get rough with the car... and finally employ the transbrake and leave in boost. Last winter I was able to convert to auto... would be nice if I can afford to do the rear end swap this winter.

Just keep doing your thing. Set goals, meet them, make improvements, set a new goal and go from there.
My first goal was to run 10.0. Equal the old rat motor.
Then was to run better than 9.4 which was the old rat motor on spray.
Then try for an 8.
Took me three years.
I knew I wasn't going to be one of those guys who had the smarts to put a car together and immediately run an 8 first pass. Which we see guys do.
This isn't the norm. They have experience, it's not their first rodeo.

Good to see you running the car, driving it there and driving home.
And not being a dyno queen.

Keep up the good work!

BTW, the quicker you can get to boost, the more mph the car will run.

Agree on all points. I got greedy and tried to be all in instantly at SCT a few months ago....wasnt pretty. Hopefully by next season I can let the car cut loose and run the number that it should be running. Only thing then is, I will be at a cross road....cage it so I can continue running it at the track....or call it good and leave the track alone after I see what it can do. Decisions decisions...

This FTW. Can't tell you how many people I've tried to explain that a better sixty foot on a boosted car almost always leads to a higher mph.

As far as the cage, I could never bring myself to cage a true street car. Just takes away from what it is, but I get why people do. Could always just work on your 1/8 times and run it out the back door every now and then.

You clearly enjoy going to the track! Cage it and let it eat while being safe, and have fun!
