Default Winter storage question

What do you guys put in your fuel system for winter storage? I’m about to store my car for the winter in a storage unit(I’m moving and building a nice big 28x40 garage at the new place). So the car will be in a storage unit till at least the spring.

With reg 93 octane, I usually don't do anything, unless dump a little Sea Foam in. It only sits about 3 months W/O running. That's usually with a pretty fresh tank of fuel.

Bag and store my drag radials inside the house. Fresh oil. Float the coolant and make sure it's good to 5*F

Ethanol free or AV Gas in all my stuff for winter (about 3-4 months). While the roads are treated with sheetmetal remover. AV Gas holds up the best, but it's leaded i.e. bad for O2 sensors.

Drive it all winter with straight water and water wetter Sorry couldn't resist. We get crap all summer when its 95* and 90% humidity so may as well give some payback when its in the 50*s and 60*s in January.

I moved to MD from FL so I haven’t had to deal with this in years, when I grew up the fuel was better.

if im gonna store my car I fill the fuel tank and add sta-bil. I put the car on jack stands cause drag radials can flat spot quick in my experience. I pull the valve covers and back all the rockers completely off. put a box of baking soda in the cup holder. make sure the coolant is good antifreeze wise. some of this may seem like over kill but im extra careful. I know you only ask about fuel additive but I figured id throw the rest in for free.

I never thought about backing soda in the car, that’s a good idea. I took my drag radials off already and put some crap wheels on the back. It’s got a full tank now, I guess I’ll pick up some fuel stabilizer. Anyone recommend a certain brand? Or is sta-nil the brand that’s good to use

And don't forget to set mouse traps for when the little critters come in from the cold, lol-I live in the woods, so they are all around, lol.

Most people fill with Sta-Bil and some fresh 93.

I also regularly see the jack stands and covered with a nice quality cover.

I like the idea about baking soda to keep moisture down inside!

Luckily, I am in Florida so these are just observations

you should drive your car once a month for engine and transmission longevity. However if it has to be stored seafoam or stabil will do. baking soda not a bad idea

A couple ounces of Sta-Bil in the tank and a bunch of peppermint oil soaked cotton ***** in the interior. Mice won't come near the peppermint oil and it leaves that car smelling good all summer long..lol

Fill the tank all the way up before you store it, less air = less condensation in the tank
