I personally can't wait to see what the BTR intake manifold does and how it stacks up against the competition. It may not pick up much power over the competition but if the airflow distribution is better then the other options and it stays in one piece at 25+ PSI then it's perfectly viable and he should start selling them now.

Then again if it looks cool people will buy it too which is why I bought mine, well that and other reasons I guess. LOL Not everybody is going to want to run a stock intake for a multitude of reasons none of which is anybody's business but their own since they are writing the checks.

I cleaned up all the bickering back and forth at the request of Logan, including mine.

Do you mean that this will likely be a net improvement over stock-style intakes (LS1, LS6, etc.) in terms of low-load driveability on cammed cars, or that you are just in the process of making incremental improvements to your design? If you meant the former, then I'll definitely want to try this once it becomes available.

From what I've read, that is the point in this and why it's a little different than the current factory style offerings. There's more than just a dyno readout or quarter mile slip as far as improvements go. From my understanding, the factory intake has some considerable issues with air flow distribution especially at higher hp levels.

I'm currently running a 370 with PRC 225s, a 228/232@.050", 114 LSA cam, and I'm pushing about 13-14 psi of boost into it. I got about 750 whp out of it, and I don't really need or want more. However, if this further improves driveability or long-term reliability, it's at least worth playing with, especially if it ends up being a more cost-effective option than some of the other intakes on the market.

Probably not the best description...but the fabrication is second to none.

The only drawback is still hood clearance

The welds don't look very nice.

Have you had your eyes checked lately? Might be time for a new prescription.

Actually, yes! The prescription is only a few months old! But seriously, the welds are fine. I'm sure there is good penetration, they are just not aesthetically pleasing. Looks like a little too much heat/not moving fast enough. I would expect better for that price.

Will this will fit underneath a stock C5 hood?

Without cutting it, I mean.
