That forum used to be great at least the LS section. Made a bunch of good internet friends and a few I know pretty well. In the last year or so, the mods have either stopped entirely or don't mod enough and to me, a few have just ruined it. I think most of the guys I liked on that forum are here anyway. Only 1 I haven't seen is James, BlackX, and I don't think he has posted anywhere. JMO, but thats why I am not on there on the daily like I was.

I figured this may help some guys out that spin their motors pretty high like I plan on doing with mine (86-8700 RPM)
I swapped the stock Powermaster pulley on my 16volt alternator out with one of KRC’s powersteering pulleys in order to reduce the alternator rpm as it becomes problematic on higher RPM setups with the stock pulley. Btw the MSD crank trigger sensor will be swapped out for one of the Holley EFI crank trigger y’all effect sensors.

Finally got my TRZ steering column kit in with the Strange quick disconnect, Grant Steering wheel, along with my Wilwood “Underdash” dual master-cylinder brake pedal assembly. The brake pedal assembly definitely will help with keeping the firewall/engine bay looking clean. (The master cylinders will be mounted under the dash rather than on the firewall)

JESUS! Amazing build

Finally got some new stuff in! Things are getting a bit “Strange” haha
this whole month has mainly been knocking out all of the Suspension purchases I need to make for the truck. With exception to the roll cage, I pretty much have everything I need now. I received my Strange Pro-Race steel brake kit for the Rear along with my Strange Billet steering Rack/ w Heim Joint Tie rod kit. Another major step I made was finally grabbing my 4-Link Backhalf from Checkered Racing in Indiana. It took them right around two weeks for them to build it from placing the order to pickup. I’m right in Michigan and they’re about an hour south of Forth Wayne, So I actually drove out from Michigan to Indiana and picked it up in person this past Saturday to save like 400 bucks and shipping costs. The Backhalf is constructed from 2x3 frame steel rails (completely custom and tailored frame width to whatever size you need at no extra charge) I opted for the Wishbone Locator setup that they offered upon ordering, I also Order a Custom Fabricated Moser M9 rear end from checkered Racing which they braced, Welded Late Big Ford 9” ends, all 4 link bracketry, added Anti-Roll bar etc the rods you see on the coilover mounts are actually just “Dummy bars” temporarily as I hadn’t ordered rear coilovers yet (Santhuffs were the plan) The whole entire back half kit including the rearend from Checkered racing was exactly $2000 which was a pretty damn good deal IMO All internals for the rear end will be strange components. I’m using one of Strange’s Ultra Case Center sections with their 40spline Spool. Hopefully the axles should be here Thursday as I just ordered them Sunday night. I went with their 40 spline Pro Race “Hy-Tuff”axle package with Ultra Lightened flanges and gundrilled.

This build is outstanding. I think the S10 Extreme is one of the best looking platforms to build especially considering initial cost to buy. I'm curious as to what the final weight will be.

Finally got my Axles in from Strange this past Friday! I opted for their 40 spline Pro Race axle package. Gundrilled, Ultra Lightened flanges, the works, they are badass! Just because..... I decided to mock everything up rear suspension wise. I’m really happy with everything! The vertical chromoly rods you see in the rear are just “coilover” mock-up rods until I grab my Santhuff Double adjustables coilovers for the rear.
