Picked up the car, removed the whole turbo kit besides the intercooler. Sending it off in the morning to get coated.

I had thought of putting an LS with a LSA supercharger at one time in my 85 El Camino, (crate 350, 700R4, Holley Sniper FI) but the Nova is eating up all the budget, lol.

Lol thanks, my pops has a really nice el Camino that he needs to get rid of because he never drives the damn thing lol! I actually sold my turbo 408 71 nova so I could dump all my money into this one, just didn’t see the point of having 2 street cars and 1 race car.

 

All of the hotside parts and the catchcan will be ceramic coated matte black, I wanted to spice up the engine bay a little bit so I decided to the the fuel rails,cold side pipe to the turbo and the compressor cover Illusion Crabapple. I think it’s a pretty sweet color and it’s not so “like green” has a dark/olive style green to it.

Got the mock up motor out and the new bullet is in! Need to convert my harness to 58x, waiting on all of my turbo parts/catch cam from coating and also my TH400 since it is getting rebuilt with all the best internals you can buy.

 

Getting her prepped for the cage and General idea where I want to put the chute. The guy doing my cage is just starting his own shop since leaving the “Jesse James” fab shop and is pretty dang cheap so I’m going to take advantage of his availability and price!

I’m using a edelvrock waterpumo, flows 15% more then stock I didn’t want to mess with electric pumps. I’m using the bracket I already had which is a f body bracket, not using power steering.

 

Was told the cage would be ready tuesday or Wednesday so hopefully that holds true and we can get back and all together before TX2k! Got most of my hotside back just waiting on my cold side, anxious to see what the illusion green looks like in the engine bay!
