QMP install tip...
We only got the driver's side turbo, log, manifold and waste gate on the day I drove in to help him. He already had the intercooler, etc mounted. I also mounted a new oil pump.
As we were trying to follow the directions for installing the driver's side setup we had an idea. After test fitting a few times we realized the driver's side motor mount would require the 1/4" shimming that Warbird said we might have to do to clear the steering knuckle, so we did that.
We also realized that we could fit the entire setup, picture below, bolted together with gaskets, lockwashers, etc can be installed as ONE ENTIRE unit!
Picture of entire assembled unit that can be installed as shown:

This would have saved us 3-4 hours, at least.
My suggestion for those that get their hands on this kit to do it this way.
Shim the driver's side motor mount at the base of the motor mount 1/4". Then, assemble the entire setup pictured above. You can then hook the entire setup into place. It was so sweet that we got it to slide into place like that, it rocked.
Also, I have a huge new found respect for ANYONE that can fabricate and/or design something like this and FIT it into these tiny *** spaces. How anyone can get stuff like that fabricated up, etc, is beyond me. Also, the sheer amount of time this would take for any kit like this would be enough to make me vomit.
I know people cringe at the high prices of kits like these but if you have ANY mechanical or observational aptitude you'll realize the extreme amount of work, time, etc that goes into one of these. That's why they're expensive.
The kit itself is very well constructed, all the welds are fuggin' sweet, like a roll of pennies spilled over. I wish I could have helped out KAOS some more but I had time restraints and he's 2+ hours away from me. My brother and I are gonna go back down sometime soon to help him if he needs more help to get it done for him.
All in all, the install is not that bad. It's very tedious and you must initially loosely attach everything to see where you stand and tweak here and there.
We're doing it with the car on jackstands so it takes a bit more time, but no big deal, we're not rushing it for him.

Huh??? There is a long list of faster LS1's in Detroit. I'd be careful running around proclaiming that one!
