Air Filter for Turbo?
I mean, what did you really think I meant that it was going to blow up sitting in a garage? Or from commuting 800 miles cruise? knock knock, we are talking about extended periods of WOT that results with the saying "he won't have it for long". Thats the whole point of looking at Watts of output, Watts can give us a figure for how hot, like a lightbulb burning. its all about the lightbulb, man. Not just the tune.

I'll make this easy.....Do you have IRL examples of logs, NO MATH OR HYPOTHETICAL, of 100% street cars running WOT for minutes at a time in high gear? I would be very interested to see this. Post a single log of something you've tuned that is 100% boosted street car and is WOT for minutes at a time in high gear on a road. Please post the native file to avoid any photoshop.
go ahead....reply back too this message with some long drawn out overexplained bullshit that nobody gives 2 flying ***** about.

As a separate thought....SRK pretty much allows anything right? How about a vote to ban?

"So your going flat out and the road drops in to a canyon thats barely wider than the pavement, at 200mph.. It goes straight for a bit then there is a hard left turn"
Stevieturbo or anyone else.... can you describe to some level of relative objectivity how much you 'd recommend against a 90* bend into the turbo inlet?
I'm having a bit of a conundrum, I didn't think a 90* elbow would be that much of a hindrance up until I scraped this thread for actually useful information. I'm running twin turbo's with 4" inlets on a 6L, and have about 6" of room from turbo inlet flange to rad support, and was planning on a 4" silicone bend to draw air from the fender thru the biggest filter I can jam in there.. maybe up to a 10" long one. My car is 99% street so losing a bit of power from undersized filter is just what it is, if I have to go with no elbow and a stubby filter.
I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around "how bad" elbows feeding the turbos would be.
Thanks!
joe
