I do find it humorous that someone starts quoting boats and dyno time as well as a PSI figure, but then says I'M assuming. At this point its just for sport.

This is YOU admitting you are wrong, that is ISN'T all about the tune. that a noob can blow their stuff up because the combo is inherently unreliable (too much boost where tuning can't help you).

I mean, what did you really think I meant that it was going to blow up sitting in a garage? Or from commuting 800 miles cruise? knock knock, we are talking about extended periods of WOT that results with the saying "he won't have it for long". Thats the whole point of looking at Watts of output, Watts can give us a figure for how hot, like a lightbulb burning. its all about the lightbulb, man. Not just the tune.

You either have the dumbest "customers" ever, or they have the worst tuner ever.....like Chuck Cow level.

I'll make this easy.....Do you have IRL examples of logs, NO MATH OR HYPOTHETICAL, of 100% street cars running WOT for minutes at a time in high gear? I would be very interested to see this. Post a single log of something you've tuned that is 100% boosted street car and is WOT for minutes at a time in high gear on a road. Please post the native file to avoid any photoshop.

I'm still waiting for anyone to chime in that had a car tuned by him, He said he's tuned 100s of cars yet a year ago he wasn't even sure what an OB2 port looked like.

I'm sure he'll be in here shortly pointing out that it's OBD II port and not an OB2 port like I said in my post lol

Better watch it....He might take the offer and ban us all !

If they make him a mod for real not as a stunt I will have lost all faith in this site and probably delete my account along with the stickies and regular PM's that provide actual help to members.

As a separate thought....SRK pretty much allows anything right? How about a vote to ban?

Probably because there are ignorant members like in the Ctsv section who actually buy his crap.

I knew the two that had the record,, like 3 cars back..

"So your going flat out and the road drops in to a canyon thats barely wider than the pavement, at 200mph.. It goes straight for a bit then there is a hard left turn"

Can we please discuss the topic of this thread.. air filters (big or small) vs tube/bellmouth, vs no filter?

Stevieturbo or anyone else.... can you describe to some level of relative objectivity how much you 'd recommend against a 90* bend into the turbo inlet?

I'm having a bit of a conundrum, I didn't think a 90* elbow would be that much of a hindrance up until I scraped this thread for actually useful information. I'm running twin turbo's with 4" inlets on a 6L, and have about 6" of room from turbo inlet flange to rad support, and was planning on a 4" silicone bend to draw air from the fender thru the biggest filter I can jam in there.. maybe up to a 10" long one. My car is 99% street so losing a bit of power from undersized filter is just what it is, if I have to go with no elbow and a stubby filter.

I'm just having a hard time wrapping my head around "how bad" elbows feeding the turbos would be.

Thanks!
joe
