New Records Im curious to see what the new current records are for motors. Haven’t seen an update on most in a long time. Pretty much everyone knows team north owns the sbe record but what about the rest?
SBE turbo- Team North 7.16 @190
SBE N20- ?
SBE blower-?
Stock Block- ?
6.0- ?
4.8- ?
Something tells me there has to be an sbe 4.8 that’s been 4.99 by now. Definitely have seen the envolope pushed into territories nobody would of considered within the past couple years.

I disagree. I don’t think that is bs or “everyone gets a trophy” at all. An intake is a limiting factor on many different setups and classes. Cast intake, billet intake, plastic intake, 1 carb, 2 carb, 1 kit, etc etc. Since this website is made up of probably 75% f body cars I don’t see a problem with it. It is such a big limiting factor on these cars. Either way there is no trophy or prize for any of these records so... I’d rather see a record post than the same old been answered a 100 times questions. People who are pushing the envelope are alright in my book. Anyway I’m pretty sure “mightmouse” has been mid 8’s with stock intake/stock cowl. That’s getting it!

Stock unfilled block has been 7s (filled blocks have been 6s)
Stock 6.0 has been 8.0.

First it's "untouched cowl".
Then it's "4th gen untouched cowl"
then it's "5th gen untouched cowl"
then manual, automatic, etc.
Nobody cares if you cut the cowl. If you want to make X horsepower, you need to do A,B,C....etc. If you don't want to cut the cowl, then you go D,E,F...etc.
All these "records" truely ARE complete bullshit. It's turning into the internet big dick speed contest.
If you want a record, either make it the fastest 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2, etc either built or SBE, end of story.
Technically I probably have the fastest fox thunderbird 5.3 SBE 80E swap in the world. I don't care about bullshit records. I just want to have fun and that's all this should be about.
You're turning this into some Pinks! or Street Outlaws drama bullshit.
I'm not attacking you btw, I'm just stating something that is completely and utterly only my own opinion.

Cars get faster/better/morepowerful with goals. Whether it’s a hp number you want to achieve or a guy you want to be faster than or a time or record you want to achieve or set. Why does it matter to you guys so much what someone wants to do? It’s part of the car game. People chase dyno numbers which I could care less about. The dyno results section is one of the most popular on here but I’m not over there talking crap on them. I could care less about having the biggest Engine or twin turbos for show and to not run very fast but if that’s your deal then go for it. If I asked about who has the fastest fbody with a stock cowl (on a mostly fbody site) then why do you care? If it bothers you guys keep scrolling! Why did you click on the thread to begin with?!! The title is “new records”. If records aren’t your thing then click on something else. A lot of people seem to forget about the weight of the vehicle that set whatever record. Many of these cars are nothing more than hacked up lexaned out race cars that weigh next to nothing. I know personally, I'm more interested in close to full weight real deal street cars that take care of business on track day. The cars that have to be pushed to the line with a golf cart..... and retrieved at the return road with a golf cart, couldn't care less how fast it is.
