Default pushing coolant

Ok, beating head now, running a 370, LS3 heads, chinese studs, LS9 head gaskets, weisco turbo pistons, after putting this engine in @20-22psi keeps pushing coolant out of overflow, 1st did it before heading to track for 1st time getting ready to load up. That time seemed have air bubble, also using moroso elec pump, kept cycling it topping off, seemed ok. so we run it at B/S no prep shithole, puts coolant in tank every run, nothing hard about 15psi. change to a moroso 24lb rad cap, still seems to have air, after bleeding run this way...same deal. ran some almost 1/4 mile passes sunday, longer run worse. do no see anything in rad with running, no leaks at engine, no coolant in oil ??? any idea's thanks Rob

Have you tried pressure testing the coolant system?

Lol you are asking to kill a head

The gasket is hurt once it leaks... It is never going to seal like it should even if you make it push once. Fact

It's a stainless spring steal and when the hot combustion passes between the layers it ***** it up. Even once

Sounds like you just need to install a pressure sensor to be sure.

Once it leaks, it will never seal 100% again without a fresh gasket.

Can you post your timing table? Who tuned it?

Had the same issue.... when the engine was hot it would seal but after sitting and engine gets cold it would weep between block and driver side head.... pulled the head and found nothing on the gasket.... I replaced head gaskets, copper coated them, and installed arp head studs... don’t want to start a debate on studs but those eBay studs are **** compared to arp..... how many times have the studs been torqued? Might be a good investment to go arp.... just a thought good luck!

this does not seem to leak cold, only warm, not all the time, studs only used this time, ran the same brand on other engine @ 26lbs without issue

I know it's a totally different engine design etc. but my diesel truck would literally do the same thing. Above 20 psi it would just puke coolant out of the degas bottle.

Took the heads off and 5 cylinders had torch marks on the gasket indicating stretched bolts and the heads were lifting.

Put a pressure gauge on your puke bottle/degas bottle and get into the boost. If the pressure goes above your cap pressure when under boost, you know the gaskets are done.

FYI my fix is o-ringing the heads and putting ARP studs in the motor. But you're not running nearly the cylinder pressure so I don't think o-ringing is necessary in your engine.
