Depends more on goal.

If you don't plan on making 1500 HP, the billet 94/107 are way overkill, regardless of budget.

I think it is well inside the budget an I know it is capable of huge numbers. What I guess I'm wondering is if it will still work well trying to push a stock LS1 or L33 to it's limits without being a turd leaving. I'm sure later on the car may end up getting an aftermarket block big CI motor and it would be nice to stay with the same turbo.

that turbo should work and you should never have to upgrade as your motors get bigger and better. with the right converter and tuning it shouldnt be that lazy but being a little lazy might not be a bad thing with a gen 3 motor
