Default nitrous plate for meth injection?

switched from nitrous to single turbo on my c6 corvette. I have a plate kit with a stand alone fuel system and i was toying with the idea of using the standalone to pump straight meth through the plate. as its a rear mount s475 non intercooled. i'm going water meth anyways and have no desire to intercool. Just figured this would be a cool way to do it if it would work. Do you guys think this would work well? or would it be a big waste of time.

The only problem I see with this idea is that you would not be spraying before the IAT, so it would be problematic to set up a failsafe in case the meth quit spraying. Otherwise, it would just be a matter of proper jetting and pump control.

If you use methanol as the fuel for a nitrous hit the it would work great. If you only spray methanol through a nitrous plate the it won’t atomize the methanol adequately and you’ll end up with unequal distribution. If you want to spray methanol only for fuel supplement/cooling then just use a meth nozzle. They are cheap and atomize the methanol better so you’ll get better cooling and distribution than the plate.

I vote for using the plate with methanol and nitrous but I like to party. A 50 - 100 shot would really help with spooling your rear mount at the launch as well.

I'll see if I can find a pic but years back I tapped the nitrous plate holes for the meth nozzle threads but I wouldn't try and spray without a way to secure a real meth nozzle

And that was my main worry, that it wouldn't cool and work as efficiently as just an actual meth setup would. I'm not super interested in nitrous just because of the expense to fill where I live. Just though it would be pretty cool to use the plate and standalone for my meth kit sense I have it already.

Sell the plate and buy a nozzle, you’ll be $ ahead

I'll probably do as you said keep it see how that rear mount lights off and if its doggy run a little shot to spool. Sounds like a good idea for sure.
