Default RELIABILITY,Me No Wants a Blow Up

I am going to put together a 5.3 on a heavy dually truck that tows a couple times a week, with a NV4500 and full time E85.500 ft/lbs will get things done.No need to ever rev over 5500,and don't see myself in the boost a lot except when I need it.Truck puts on 30k miles a year.

It shouldn't be long before I get a call to come get a low mileage 5.3 running truck engine locally.I resisted as long as a human could, but they learned me into going turbo.

What would your advice be,equipment-wise as far as keeping things reliable over the long haul?

Lose the idea of going turbo to tow unless you're putting in a diesel.

If you want 500 ft lbs and be reliable and affordable put on an LSA supercharger.

yeah no kidding. he was annoying but mostly harmless. meanwhile racists and bigots get a 3 week "time out" at most. usually they just get a pass.

He started getting pretty bad at the end and claiming the site wanted to make him a mod. You can basically say what you want in the SRK and Dyno sections but you can't derail LITERALLY every thread you post in. It gets noticed at some point.

Agreed, I've seen some crazy shot on here (usually text it to you lol). He didn't bother me a bit, always good for a laugh and somewhere in his absolute crazy mind was some truth.

I guess I'm in the camp that if you're arrogant and your delivery sucks then it doesn't really matter how smart you are.

Do you see it as not reliable? or not affordable? Or just not practical to get the low end grunt needed?

i know we are kinda cutting up right now, but in all seriousness, I really think for the majority of the time, he was just trolling and having fun.

I don't see it reliable, which is your main concern. I also don't see it having the low end grunt you're looking for unless you size the turbo to that, but if you go for the low then it's going to be out of breath in the upper RPMs. I know you don't plan on living there for any amount of time, but it'll annoy you.

Honestly a supercharger is going to give you everything you're looking for, including reliablilty.
