Fitech well my engine didn't come with harness or ecm. That kit has an intake,throttle,ecm,harness,3 bar map,65 lbs injectors and uses speed density with a learn able and tunable interface. All for $1800. I just thought it sounded like a good deal. If it is a piece of garbage though,it isn't worth it. Thats why I was asking here for anyone that has used the system.

You aren't following the sloppy recipe if you didn't get a pullout motor w harness, pedal, ecu etc... all that crap will kill your budget fast. This coming holiday go grab a full pullout w all the intake ecu etc at LKQ for 250 bucks.... use what you need off it

LS truck engines are not $250 here in Houston. On sloppies list of parts he lists PSI for harnesses and ecms. They have nice stuff, but an ecm and harness is about $1200 with harness,ecm,injectors and 3bar map. That FITECH setup with intake throttle body and injectors is
$1800. I know I should have got a better deal on the engine I got, or I can do what was said and just get a different engine for more $$$

I have the Ultimate LS on my fox coupe. LS6/s475/4l80e/80lbers/ Runs just fine......I'm not ***** out on it yet, as it's just my piddle car, but so far I like it. I had a hacked harness that I built a while back and a tuned ecm that I did myself. While there was really nothing wrong with it...I just wanted to try it out and play with it. Some guys have had issues but it almost always boils down to user error, or guys wanting to use the system out of it's scope.
Fitech ultimate LS on my turbo 5.3. $750 (no auto control) and 60lb injectors pushing 650+hp and been up to 14.5psi. Self tunes. Just about everyone doesnt know how to use it or aren't very good at backward enginneering stuff as the instructions are almost non existent for the FItech ultimate LS stuff. Controls everything engine related and can do electronic tranny if you just make a harness for it. Or get the auto version and be done.

Not worth the cost IMO. But sure it'll work. Just tuned a setup with one. Nice kit, everything fit well. ECU is feature starved and software is clunky at best. The MS3 gold box is 3x the ECU IMO for $1200. You can pick up a stock truck intake with injectors and rails for around $50. Decap the OEM injectors and you'll have 70lb injector and intake setup with a more capable ECU for less $.
