You need to get the right converter in the car. The only time you can hear it shift(barely) is 1-2 and even there it sounds like the turbo is just starting to come alive when you shift. Then it just lays on the converter the rest of the pass. That car will fly once you get the converter tightened up. Only other thing it could be would be the trans slipping but I'm pretty sure it would have eaten itself up on one pass if it was slipping that bad.

Ive been talking to Lonnie over at Extreme Performance who built my trans, he wants me to check the trans pressure, so ill do that end of the week. I shouldn't even need 4th gear from what i was told, but yeah every time i would shift it be in the 7K range telling me to shift. So, hoping that nothing is damaged and its just either from low pressure and the verter was slipping.

I'd recommend studying up, and asking questions if you have to, on how to rebuild a 4L80e if it is indeed hurt. That would save you about $4500 or more, if you really did spend 5 stacks on your transmission. Only a suggestion btw.

Not trying to slam you man. Sometimes we (myself included), tend to exaggerate a bit. The only "specialty" tool you need, and if you just had to you could still get it done without it is, a piston compressor. That, and a $4.00 set of picks from harbor freight ..... and you are in business. Don't feel bad, I felt the same way about transmissions, I thought as soon as you open one up...a billion parts would come Flying out. But no, that's not the case... and it really isn't all that bad. If cash is a problem, you may want to look into it. As long as no hard parts are hurt, you can do it yourself for next to nothing when you compare it to $5,000. The transmission section on here can help you through your build.
